Delete Your Account

We're sorry to see you go. If you'd like to delete your InshaLove account and all associated data, you can do so using one of the methods below.

Option 1: Delete Your Account in the App

1. Open the InshaLove app and go to your Profile.
2. Tap the Settings icon.
3. Under "Manage account", tap "Delete account".
4. Choose a reason and confirm by tapping "Pause account".

Your profile is hidden from everyone immediately and a 30-day grace period starts. If you log in again within these 30 days, your account is restored. After 30 days your profile data, photos, verification media and community posts are deleted and the account is anonymised. After 60 days your chat history, chat media and the account record itself are deleted permanently. The full schedule is in our Privacy Policy.

Option 2: Request Deletion via Email

If you are unable to access the app, you can request account deletion by sending an email to:

privacy@insha.love

Please include the following in your email:

• Your full name as shown on your profile
• The email address associated with your account

We will verify that the request comes from the account holder and start the same deletion process described above within 7 business days.

What Data Will Be Deleted

When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently removed (profile data after 30 days, chat history after 60 days):

• Profile information: name, date of birth, gender, religion, ethnicity, height, relationship goals, and all other profile details
• Profile photos: all images you have uploaded
• Messages and voice recordings: all chat history and voice messages (kept for 30 more days after the profile deletion so that your chat partners keep their side of the conversation, then deleted)
• Matches and likes: all connections and interactions
• Location data: the rounded coordinates in your profile, your home location for the community feed, and the exact coordinates we keep for safety investigations
• Verification media: verification videos, ID photos and selfies, if not already deleted one month after review

Data Retention

Once your account is deleted, your data is removed from our active systems immediately. However, residual copies may remain in encrypted backups for up to 30 days before being permanently purged.

Subscription purchase records managed by Google Play or Apple are subject to their respective data retention policies and are not affected by account deletion in InshaLove. Our own records of purchases (product, price, store transaction ids, no card data) are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Reports that are still under investigation may be kept until they are resolved.
