Welcome to InshaLove ("we", "our", or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our mobile application InshaLove (the "App").

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

Account information: email address, password
Profile information: name, date of birth, gender, religion, ethnicity, height, relationship goals, and other profile details you choose to share
Profile photos uploaded through the App
Messages and voice recordings sent through the in-app chat
Wali (guardian) information if you choose to use the Wali feature

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

Location data: Used for the Nearby feature to discover other users in your vicinity. Location is only used while the feature is active.
Bluetooth (BLE) data: Used for the Nearby feature to detect other InshaLove users nearby via Bluetooth Low Energy. No personal Bluetooth identifiers are stored permanently.
Device information: Device type, operating system version, and app version for troubleshooting purposes.
Usage data: How you interact with the App (e.g., profiles viewed, likes sent) to improve the service.

1.3 Camera and Media Access

The App requests access to your camera and photo library solely for the purpose of uploading profile photos. We do not access your camera or media without your explicit action.

1.4 Microphone Access

The App requests microphone access to record and send voice messages in chat. Recordings are only made when you actively choose to send a voice message.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the App:

Supabase

We use Supabase as our backend infrastructure for storing user profiles, messages, and application data. Supabase is GDPR-compliant and stores data in secure cloud infrastructure. Learn more at supabase.com/privacy.

RevenueCat

We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions and purchases. RevenueCat may collect your device identifier and purchase history to validate and manage your subscription. Learn more at revenuecat.com/privacy.

Google Play / Google Sign-In

If you sign in using Google, we receive your name and email address from Google. Purchases are processed through Google Play and subject to Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase's cloud infrastructure. Profile photos are stored in a private, access-controlled storage bucket. We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We only share data with third-party services as described in Section 3, which is necessary to operate the App. We may disclose your data if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

Right of access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Right to rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data.

Right to restriction: Request that we limit the processing of your data.

7. Children's Privacy

InshaLove is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that a minor has created an account, we will delete the account and all associated data immediately.

8. Advertising ID

The App may access the Android Advertising ID (GAID) for attribution purposes (to understand how users discover the App). You can reset or opt out of personalized ads in your device settings under Google → Ads.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page or through an in-app notification. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
