Common questions

How do I get the verification badge?

Verification is optional unless the app asks you to verify (see the next question). Open your profile and tap the verification badge. You record a short video in which you say the words shown on the screen, and our team reviews it. Once approved, your profile shows a blue badge. For the gold badge you can additionally submit an ID document plus a selfie, after the blue badge has been granted.

Why does the app ask me to verify before I can continue?

After reports by several members or a review by our team, we may require a verification. If your account is not yet verified by video, you record the verification video; if it is, you submit an ID document plus a selfie. While our team reviews it, the app shows that the review is in progress; other members no longer find your account in discovery, likes or the radar, while your existing chats and your posts and comments in the feed stay visible. You can use InshaLove again as soon as it is approved. You can also sign out or delete your account from that screen. If you think this is a mistake, write to support@insha.love and a person will review it.

Who can see my photos?

By default your profile photos are visible to other members. If you switch on blurred photos, your profile shows blurred versions and only the people you share them with in a chat see the originals. You can change this at any time under Manage photos.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple or Google, not by InshaLove. On iPhone open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. On Android open Google Play, tap your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

How do I delete my account?

In the app: Profile, Settings, Delete account. If you no longer have access to the app, follow the steps on our Delete account page.

What is Wali mode?

Wali mode lets a trusted person accompany your conversations. You enter their name and email address, and they receive a weekly email summary of your text messages. Your chat partners see a shield icon so everyone knows a Wali is reading along. You can switch it on under Settings, Wali mode.

How do you decide which profiles I see first?

Your filters, your gender, blocks and every member's privacy settings always apply. Within them, members with an active Boost, a paid feature, come first for members in their region while it lasts. After that we show members who used the app recently and members near you first. We also take into account whether a profile is verified and filled in, the distance, whether someone joined recently and how often a profile has already been shown, plus a small random part so that not everyone sees the same members first. Your plan, religion, prayer, origin, languages and blood type never change the order; they only count through filters you set yourself. Details are in our Privacy Policy, section 4.

Why does the radar show nobody?

The radar uses Bluetooth, not GPS. It only finds other InshaLove members up to about 200 metres away in the open (less inside buildings) who also have the radar open at the same time. An empty radar simply means nobody nearby is using it right now.

Report a profile or a message

You can report any profile, message or post directly in the app through the three-dot menu. Reports are reviewed, and you can block a person at any time. For urgent safety concerns, especially anything involving minors, please email safety@insha.love and read our Child Safety Standards.
